Your year in sustainable energy
Welcome to The People & Power Energy Congress Events Calendar! Explore our sequenced annual structure designed to drive continuity, accountability, and measurable impact in Kenya's clean energy landscape. Each event builds upon the last, forming an integrated ecosystem where innovation, policy, and public engagement converge. Discover how you can be part of this vital movement.

Kickstarting the energy year
Our annual institutional year begins with the People and Power Energy Congress Breakfast. This convening will gather stakeholders across the renewable energy sector, government ministries, regulatory bodies, financial institutions, and community leaders to identify priority energy challenges. Be part of the conversation that shapes Kenya's energy future, showcases youth, women, and PWDs projects, and lays the groundwork for innovation.

Empowering the next generation
Emerging directly from the Breakfast, our Youth Lab Open Day issues a national call for youth-led clean energy project proposals. If you're a young innovator with a vision, this is your chance to present your ideas to industry leaders, investors, and policy experts. Selected projects enter a six-month incubation cycle, receiving mentorship, business development support, and technical guidance to bring their solutions to life.

Igniting women's energy leadership
The Powering Her Vision Open Day is dedicated to fostering women-led clean energy innovations. We prioritize emerging leaders and create growth tracks for experienced female entrepreneurs, connecting them with investors and grant mechanisms. This initiative addresses critical gender financing gaps and celebrates the power of women in driving sustainable change.

Inclusion at the heart of innovation
Our Differently Abled, Perfectly Able Lab creates a structured pathway for innovators living with disabilities or those designing accessibility-focused clean energy solutions. This program ensures that inclusion is not symbolic but operationalized through targeted incubation and resource allocation. By embedding accessibility within innovation design, the Congress strengthens the equity dimension of Kenya’s energy transition.

The national convergence
The General Assembly functions as the national convergence of the year’s innovation cycle. During this event, incubated projects present progress, products are launched, fellows graduate, and new volunteers register for environmental initiatives. It reinforces The People & Power Energy Congress as a permanent institution driving national energy transformation. Be part of Kenya's biggest clean energy forum.

Run for renewable energy
The People and Power Energy Congress Marathon expands our platform into public participation. This activity raises funds for the Alabaster Fund, a scholarship and innovation support vehicle for People and Power Scholars. Through ticket sales, corporate sponsorship, and branded merchandise, the Marathon mobilizes financial resources while raising awareness on a selected annual energy theme. Join the movement on the ground.

Celebrating impact and innovation
Our Gala Awards celebrate measurable impact rather than ceremonial status. Awards recognize youth innovation, women-led enterprises, disability inclusion, sustainable creative contributions, and clean energy leadership. The Gala integrates short film submissions, sustainable art, and smart city design showcases, positioning energy as both technical and cultural transformation.

Kenya's energy outlook
The institutional year concludes with the State of the Energy Address. This crucial address synthesizes data from all programs, evaluates innovation contributions to the national energy landscape, presents accountability findings, and announces the agenda for the following year. It establishes The People & Power Energy Congress as a national reference point for energy transition progress. Understand where Kenya's energy future is headed.

The intellectual engine: fellowship program
The People and Power Fellowship operates as the intellectual engine of the Congress. Fellows are selected annually for a six-month structured program, conducting policy analysis, supporting innovation labs, and contributing to research publications. This model ensures analytical depth and builds a pipeline of future energy leaders who will influence Kenya’s clean energy ecosystem for decades to come. Apply to become a fellow and shape the future.
