Our vision & mission
The People & Power Energy Congress envisions becoming Kenya’s most trusted and influential civic-economic platform for accelerating a just, inclusive, and investment-ready clean energy transition. Our mission is to permanently connect people, policy, capital, and innovation, ensuring energy decisions in Kenya are participatory, inclusive, accountable, and economically transformative. We act as both a convening institution and an implementation catalyst, building systems that continuously produce innovation pipelines, policy recommendations, capital mobilization opportunities, and measurable inclusion outcomes.
Bridging the energy divide
Kenya leads in renewable energy, yet the ecosystem faces fragmentation: youth innovators lack incubation, women-led enterprises are underfunded, and persons living with disabilities are excluded. Policy engagement is episodic, and capital deployment often misses grassroots realities. PPEC addresses this by creating a year-long institutional framework, integrating stakeholder dialogue, innovation incubation, public participation, impact reporting, and capital mobilization into a continuous national dialogue. We are a neutral, credible, and action-oriented platform, ensuring the transition to clean energy is structured, inclusive, and economically aligned.
Empowering the next generation
Our work directly benefits youth, women, and persons living with disabilities. Through structured programs like the Youth Lab, Powering Her Vision Open Day, and Differently Abled, Perfectly Able Lab, we provide crucial incubation, mentorship, and funding pathways. The People & Power Energy Congress operates a sequenced annual structure, including the General Assembly, Marathon, Gala Awards, and the State of the Energy Address, ensuring continuity and accountability. Our Fellowship Model also builds a pipeline of future energy leaders, making inclusion operational and fostering innovative solutions for transformative change across Kenya.
